Information about ITA
The Institute
The Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics of the University of Heidelberg (ITA) originated in 1976 from the two already existing sections for theoretical astrophysics. Since 2005, it has been part of the Zentrum für Astronomie (Center for Astronomy, ZAH). It contains several research groups that work on a broad spectrum of topics from many areas of astrophysics.
