Dr. Jim Dale (Univ. Leicester):
"Feedback in Star Formation"
Abstract. Feedback from massive stars is a key component of the process of star-formation and may be responsible for starting, regulating and terminating starbirth, and for dispersing stars throughout the Galaxy by disrupting young star clusters. I will present numerical simulations in which I have studied the ability of photoionising radiation from O-type stars to unbind embedded clusters, and the effect of such radiation on the star-forming process itself.
